Located in Lynn County, Texas, the 300 MW Tahoka Wind Farm uses 120 General Electric wind turbines to generate more than 1,234,000 MWh of renewable energy annually, or enough energy to power almost 119,000 U.S. homes. The Tahoka Wind Farm helps meet the energy needs of the state by providing clean and flexible wind powered electricity. The project is supported by long-term tax equity financing and an offtake contract.
The Tahoka Wind Farm will provide a significant economic boost to the local community over the life of the project, including upwards of $59 million that will help support the region in the form of property taxes.
